Rego Athletic Scholarship Fund
Empowering Student Athletes
At the Rego Athletic Scholarship Fund, we support student-athletes in the Evergreen and Battle Ground School Districts as they pursue post-secondary education.
Each year, we award scholarships to graduating seniors attending college, trade schools, or other accredited programs. These scholarships recognize students who show dedication, leadership, and resilience—on the field, in the classroom, and beyond.

A Legacy Remembered: How Mark Rego’s Work Continues to Inspire
I'm Madison Wick, a grateful Rego Scholarship recipient. It helped me thrive in college, where I study neuroscience, maintained all A’s, and continued competitive swimming. I broke 4 CSU records and swam at Nationals. Thank you for supporting my academic and athletic journey!

Madison Wick
Coach Rego was more than a coach—he was a mentor, friend, and example of true character. He guided me into coaching, where I spent 20+ years trying to live up to his standard. I don’t recall scores, but I remember his lessons, laughs, and quotes. His ripple effect lives on, and I’m proud to be part of it. I miss him deeply.

I met Rego at Union High School, where he was a Security Guard and Coach. On tough days, I’d go to his office—he’d lean back, hands behind his head, sometimes eyes closed, just listening. That quiet support meant everything. Rego was a family man, loyal, funny, dedicated, and passionate about shaping young athletes. A great friend and calming presence—I miss him every day.
